You seem to be needlessly worrying my Mother, Ryan! Please edit comment to read something along following lines:
"Your staying with me in Korea was officially confirmed 6 months ago. You will be protected by armed guards at all times and escorted to all tourist attractions by police so as to avoid all possible forms of danger".

Well you know we actually do have armed guards on site, but they're hardly ever needed. Seriously though, South Korea is incredibly safe - I often go out and leave my door unlocked here (maybe not such a good idea to publicize the fact on internet tho). I have 'a couple of days' for you so far, and am negotiating the rest. It'll be fine.

Katie, You look so cute with your little backpack! Hope you have arrived safely and your flight was not delayed from all the knock on effects of Wednesday's trauma!!
